“Artworkism” is Chiqio’s core philosophy, integrating art, creativity, and design into everything the brand does. It emphasizes living life to the fullest and reaching one’s full potential through motivation. This belief encourages perseverance despite negative feedback, highlighting the importance of not giving up on dreams, even if they seem out of reach. The essence of Artworkism is about pursuing passions with emotion and dedication. Examples include characters from “Pompo: The Cinéphile” and the life of Vincent van Gogh, whose struggles and regrets fueled their artistic achievements. These stories underscore the importance of emotions in art and the pursuit of dreams despite challenges and regrets.

What is Artworkism?

Artworkism is when people live life to the fullest. Life can be a person’s masterpiece if they live the life they want. Majority of people are inspired by others or encounter an opportunity to shine. What motivates people to continue their passion? Artworkism is the ability to reach someone’s full potential through motivation.

Motivation to Start Somewhere

Somewhere in the world, there are people who stop being determined to continue their art or writing because they received negative feedback. But how can someone reach their potential if they quit mid way? Although some feedback is harsh, people have to let go of the negativity and continue moving forward. Some of the best scripts were rejected a hundred times but that did not stop the person from sharing their scripts to different studios. Artworkism is this. It’s never giving up a dream even if that dream is far from reach. How would you know your full potential if you don’t take risks?

Pursue our passion

The character goes through conflict whenever they want to fulfill their dream as an artist, writer, or actor/actress. One example of this is Pompo: The Cinéphile. In Pompo: The Cinéphile, Gene Fini is an assistant to Pompo. One day, she told him to direct her newest film since she believed in him. At first, he hesitated to take the job because he did not trust himself. Until, he gave it a shot since this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. His dream was to see his creation come to life on the big screen. Another character that had dreams was Natalie, an aspiring actress. Natalie felt her acting was not good enough until Pompo wrote a role for her.

Each character went through hardship for people to see their art in theaters. Gene directed the film until midnight. He was passionate about put out the best films out there. There was a scene in the film where he begged Pompo to create a new scene to end the film on a high note. She was against it at first but seeing how passionate it was about this film, she gave in and created a new scene. The scene dealt with a man that chose his job over his family. The emotions Gene gave was someone who wanted to show the world his masterpiece.

These stories are often told best when the writer knows how to write emotions in their work. Creating art without emotions is not art at all. What moves people are the emotions behind the story.

Live life with regret

As hard as we try to live our lives and do everything we can to display creativity in our lives. But from time to time we encounter regrets. Regret is an unavoidable subject in life.

Vincent van Gogh’s life was full of emotional struggles, mental anguish and confusion that was not understood by the world. He longed to be understood and recognised, but during his lifetime his work and style were not taken seriously by the art world of his time. Although his works are full of colour and life, they also contain his inner pain and struggle. These regrets were not only a tragedy in Van Gogh’s personal life, but also part of his artistic creation. His pain and struggle are deeply reflected in his works and have become an integral part of his artistic achievement.

How can we not spend our lives pursuing our dreams and brushing up against them?
