Key words: perfume, chiqio, scent

Top notes: Orange, Black pepper

Mid notes: Violet, Ylang-Ylang, Juniper

Base notes: Ventiver, Tobacco, Sandalwood, Ambroxan

When I initially sprayed Forest Child on my skin, the first notes I smelled were juniper, ylang-ylang, and orange. The juniper was pine-ey and fresh, the ylang-ylang was floral and had hints of jasmine, and the orange was subtly sweet. I then noticed the woody and spicy scent from the sandalwood, tobacco, and black pepper. This fragrance is light, subtle, and calming making it suitable for everyday wear by primarily men. If this scent had to resemble a color, I would say the color green or brown. The color green because the juniper tree is the main note I smell, and the color brown for the woody scent. This fragrance reminds me of the fall and winter seasons, as it brings warmth due the the woody, spicy, and earthy scents, making them more comfortable and suitable for the colder temperatures. This fragrance brings many scenes to my mind. One scene would be a group of friends going out to a forest to hike and camp. After they come back from the hike, they start a bonfire and eat s’mores. This scene has many scents to it: juniper and ventiver from the hike in the forest, wood from the bonfire, and some sweetness from the smores. Forest Child belongs to a forest, mountain cabin, or lakeside park. This fragrance is earthy, and is closely associated with the natural environment.

If Forest Child would represent a person, it would closely resemble someone who is  sophisticated, well educated, and confident. This person would wear old money style clothing from brands like Ralph Loren or Hermes.

Their job would be an architect, environmental/sustainability consultant, or some profession in the creative or environmental field. They would enjoy reading classic novels such as The Picture of Dorian Gray or The Secret History. Their hobbies may include painting, traveling, hiking, horseback riding, or writing.

If Forest Child was a movie, I would say it would be The Twilight Saga. The Twilight Saga was filmed in Oregon and Washington, two of the best states known for their beautiful geography. Many scenes from the films took place in forests, old towns, and waterfalls. The greenery found in The Twilight Saga reminds me of Forest Child due to its juniper and ventiver note.

A rainy day or wintery day filled with snow would be the perfect time to wear Forest Child. The notes blend together beautifully, and the fragrance design is sleek and simple, making this a well rounded fragrance.
