Forest Child: Envisioned

As I sprayed the fragrance of Forest Child, images filled my mind, and emotions arose in my heart.

The Color

Forest Child is a redolence of the shade, quiet gray. It reminds me I am present and aware, though it is not overbearing nor startling. 

The Season 

The season evoked is early winter. Forest Child is a symbol of overcoming struggles and finding peace within. As the trees become frosted with snow and the skies gain opacity, I am given strength in that I too, can move forward with the seasonal change inside me. It is no longer the period of maroon and amber leaves falling around me and crunching under my feet, which signified carefree beginnings and new troubles. It is now a change into winter, when I reach composure and address personal challenges.

The Person

It is a scent suited towards women. These women are passionate, graceful, and thoughtful. A woman wears Forest Child to enjoy a productive session at a cafe, to attend a corporate meeting, or even to spend a dinner at the rooftop with her friends. Forest Child radiates one’s intention and confidence. I picture it to suit women because I am a woman who can imagine wearing it myself and can imagine other women to wear it. This can vary by person.

The Scene

Forest Child reminds me of an early morning at the airport. A time when exhaustion fills my body, yet it is overcome with excitement.  I am about to board a plane to take me to another country, the sensation I feel pumps through adrenaline, and through the scent I am wearing. Notes of orange, ylang-ylang, and sandalwood energize me as I briskly head towards the gate, to start my next journey.

The Style & Traits 

I perceive a wearer of Forest Child to wear neutral tones, often reflecting monochrome or subtle combinations. Most frequently, in favor of black and white. Staple clothing pieces would be trench coats, fitted blazers, and fleece cardigans. Furthermore, they would work as a marketing specialist or ceramic artist. Therefore, being a right-brained, creative and emotive professional. They would read books of poetry and autobiographies, as well as psychological fiction, like Bluets by Maggie Nelson and Spring by Ali Smith. Lastly, their hobbies would be reading, jogging, visiting museums, and hosting wine-nights.

Conclusion

Ultimately, Forest Child exudes an aura of youth, drive, and pragmatism. This is because the fragrance offers a blend of powerful and delicate aromas, that endure on one who wears it. Powerful elements such as sandalwood and tobacco represent drive, while delicate elements such as orange and violet represent youth, and pragmatism is represented by endurance of the scent. I interpret Forest Child to be a manifestation of real life, as opposed to a fictional movie, since my personal meaning of it relates to my current stage in life – a university student transitioning into her early career.
