Perfume holds a unique and powerful significance in my life. It’s more than just a fragrance; it’s a way to help express an expression or trigger memories, and also possibly a mood enhancer. The scents chosen are influenced by the seasons and the events I attend, making each perfume a part of my personal narrative. Depending on these factors, each person may choose a different scent to help them evoke a memory or event/factor.
Seasonal Scents: A Fragrance for Every Time of Year
Spring: Fresh Beginnings
Spring is a time of renewal and growth. I gravitate towards light, floral fragrances that reflect the blooming flowers and fresh beginnings.
Summer: Warmness
In the summer, I prefer either a citrusy and fruity perfume. The warm weather calls for refreshing scents but it also has to leave a freshness for hours while being out and enjoying the summer weather. Perfumes with notes of lemon, orange, bergamot, and tropical fruits like mango and pineapple are perfect for beach outings and sunny days. An example would be the fragrance called “Born Dreamer”. This fragrance combines notes like orange and pear leading it to not be too overbearing and can be worn anywhere at any time making it my go to for everyday usage.
Autumn: Cozy and Comforting
As the leaves change color and the air becomes a bit cooler, I transition to warmer, spicier scents. Perfumes with notes of cinnamon and vanilla create a cozy and comforting aura, almost like the feeling of coziness and comfortness, especially when it’s starting to get colder.
Winter: Rich and Sophisticated
Winter calls for rich, sophisticated scents. I opt for perfumes with notes of amber, musk, and woody undertones. One example of this would be the fragrance from Jean Paul, specifically “Scandal Le Parfum Intense”. As the name already explains it does have an intense scent that lasts for hours, as soon as you spray it everyone around you is mesmerized by the smell. It has Jasmine, Vanille, and caramel making it a perfect scent for the winter season.
Event-Based Scents: Matching Fragrance to Occasion
Weddings: Romantic
Weddings are special occasions that deserve a romantic and elegant fragrance. I choose perfumes with delicate floral notes like peony, tuberose, and gardenia.
Daily Wear: Versatile and Subtle
On a regular day, I prefer versatile and subtle fragrances that are not overwhelming. Fresh, clean scents with notes of white musk, and light florals are perfect for daily wear. These perfumes are suitable for work, casual outings, and everyday activities, providing a pleasant and approachable aroma. The fragrance I chose for summer is by Mugler “Alien Goddess”. It has a refreshing scent by incorporating coconut and a floral scent but it also has a little bit of intensity, so it will always last you throughout the whole day.
